Control of evacuations of staff and visitors

Restart38 IT engineering firm offers two different solutions for the monitoring of attendance at assembly points: tablets and fixed workstations. During the evacuation phase, the attendance records at the assembly points are made directly by the designated staff. Each assembly point is recognisable in the system and is connected in real-time to the company management systems, servers and other tablets and/or fixed stations.

The hardware is delivered by Restart38 and it’s ready to use and already connected to the company systems. Both available solutions, tablets and fixed workstations, can take advantage of in-Cloud technology or store data using on-premise servers, located in the company. The choice depends on the structural characteristics of the buildings and the company policy. If you opt for the tablet solution, this uses encrypted network communications and it is rugged to withstand shocks, bad weather and temperature fluctuations.

Company staff is appointed to be in charge of the assembly points.

Totems are installed at the assembly points or in enclosed and/or underground shelters.

During the designing phase, the ideal logistical positioning of the tablet will be defined.

There is no need to appoint company managers; this solution allows autonomous use of the support by individual users.

At the time of evacuation, the responsible staff must go to the assembly points with the rugged tablets.

The first person who arrives at the shelter or assembly point will begin the registration process by pressing the button on the totem interface.

By pressing the "Start Evacuation" button, the designated manager for each assembly point starts recording the presence of employees and visitors. Presence can be recorded using the badge reading system (embedded in the rugged tablet) or by choosing the person from the list updated in real-time of all those present in the company. If the subject is external to the company, new names may be entered.

Subsequently, the data of the evacuees and those who pressed the button will be recorded, using the same systems of the Rugged Tablet.

At the end of the evacuation, the PDF report of each assembly point is available.

The in-Cloud solution allows you to have a complementary solution that works even in case of serious damage to IT infrastructures. In this regard, rugged tablets equipped with an internal sim can also work in the event of damage to and malfunction of the company network.

How does the Restart38 software work?

With the fixed station solution, it will be necessary to choose the ideal location of the totems, which must be powered and located in a safe place, designated as an assembly point. By pressing the "Start Evacuation" button on the touchscreen, the first person who arrives at the assembly point can begin the evacuation.

If you opt for the rugged tablet solution, it will be sufficient to designate the employees in charge of their recovery during the evacuation phase. At the time of evacuation, the managers must go to the assembly point carrying the Evacuation Management rugged tablet and start to record those present.

The presence of employees and visitors can be recorded using the badge reading system or by choosing from the attendance list updated in real-time.

It is possible to enter a new name if it is not included in the list of those present. All the Evacuation Management hardware is synchronised; in this way, it is possible to monitor in real-time the number of people not yet evacuated.

Once the evacuation is completed, a printable PDF report is generated for each assembly point.

The file shows the place, date, time, name and surname of all evacuees.

The report will include the data of any person who did not attend the assembly point and therefore was not evacuated..

Totems are installed at the assembly points or in enclosed and/or underground shelters. The totems are widely customisable and must be connected to the mains.
